Earn Cash From Your Site
by Linda Roeder

Making money from your Web site is possible if you don't mind adding a few ads to your Web pages. It's easy too.

Yes, it's true. You can make money from your Web site. How much depends on how big your site is, how your site is organized and most importantly, what your site's about. Some subjects just make more money than others. It's true.

There are a couple different ways you can make money from your Web site, the obvious way being that you sell something that people will buy. But that's not what this is about. I'm not talking about selling items that you have to supply and ship. This is much simpler.

The first step is signing up for an affiliate program, and the next step is adding affiliate ads to your Web pages. That's pretty much it. Strategically placing your ads is important too.

Here are a few of the affiliate programs that you can sign up with to help you make money:

Google Adsense You may or may not be admitted into this program. Google has a lot of rules about who can and can't use their program. If you do get in, remember to never click on your own ads. This is a pay per click program, and if you get caught clicking on your own ads, and you will, you will be dropped from the program fast. These ads are mostly text ads, but are very eye catching and are self-updating. By this I mean that you place the code on your page for an ad and Google figures out which ads to put on which pages for you. This is really easy and is a big money maker for a lot of people

Amazon.com This program is a pay per sale program. You place a link to a specific product on your Web page. If someone clicks through to Amazon.com and buys something, you make money. A lot of people buy from Amazon, so if you place the right ads on the right pages you just may make money from this.

Commission Junction Use with caution. This is probably one of the biggest affiliate programs on the Net. Because of this, there are some rules you need to know. If you don't make money in six months they will charge you a fee and close your account. I'm not sure of the exact rule, but I had this happen to me once. This is a pay per sale program, and they have a lot of companies to choose from.

LinkShare This is also a pay per sale program. They have a lot of companies you can choose to use. Place ads for companies that are similar to your site, and don't choose too many. It's tempting to choose a lot of different companies to place ads to but don't do it. Using the same ads on many different page is actually better for getting your readers to click on them.

Affiliate Fuel Some of these ads are pay per sale and some are pay per lead. The companies advertising here are different than the kinds of companies and ads you will find on other affiliate programs.

BeFree Very similar in structure to LinkShare and Commission Junction. This is a pay per sale program.

Learn Niche Marketing Skills
by D. J. Haynes

There are a number of options to consider when it comes to becoming an affiliate marketer with so many affiliate programs available. Plenty of companies and webmasters are using affiliate programs to increase their online sales and most of these affiliate programs are free to join. It's as simple as when a product is purchased through your affiliate link, you earn a commission!

Several steps are involved in starting an affiliate marketing business. The first step is to become a member of an affiliate program and it is always a good idea to do some investigating before you join any affiliate program. Begin researching to find the largest e-book marketplace, this is where you will find many sellers recruiting affiliates to market and promote their e-books and information products. You can also search to see which products are more popular, the product's conversion rate and visit the seller's websites to see whether their sales letters are convincing enough to produce sales. To get a reasonably good conversion rate of about 5%, where at least 5 people will place an order, you need 100 people landing on your merchant's website.

One way to over power your competition is through niche marketing skills. For instance, if your competitors produce laptop computers to sell to middle class purchasers at a reasonable price, you can manufacture a comparable product and package it to meet the taste of different groups within the same class. An example of this would be people who buy a laptop computer for multiple purposes. It could be for work, enjoyment, searching out information or purchasing it for members of their family. You can utilize niche marketing skills for whatever it is that you want to accomplish against the actions of your competitors in the marketplace.

Niche marketing skills are about how you respond to your competitors and who may be more experienced, bigger or even more recognized than you are. You can still compete against them if you can outline out how to take on market shares that are missed. This could also mean the conception of new products and services as well as the development of new markets.

The Work From Home Bible
by Jack Lowry

Imagine the vast expanse of information on the internet, and the secrets that those who work from home possess. Now you might be asking yourself, "How could you (the author of this article) possibly include all that I need to know about working from home, and successful internet businesses, and online marketing, in this short article? Surely, that's what you were implying by titling this article 'The Work From Home Bible?'"

Well, you're right! I certainly do plan to include absolutely everything you will ever need to know about work from home, successful home internet businesses, work from home online marketers, work from home moms, dads, kids; anyone that ever ends up working from home on the internet will get everything they ever need to know about working from home in this article, aptly titled 'The Work From Home Bible.'

The Work From Home Bible, which I will deem this article to be, only needs one page. In fact it only needs one word.

I wonder if any of you could guess the one word; the one thing that separates the work from home doers and dreamers; winners and losers; successes and failures. I bet most of you couldn't. The people that do know the answer are already working from home, and have no need of The Work From Home Bible.

The successful, wealthy and happy people working from home all possess the heretofore unspoken word. But it is not a secret. Anyone can learn the one word in The Work From Home Bible.

Once you learn the simple home from work word that dare not speak its name (yet), and are worried that you do not possess the power it bestows upon people like myself and other at home workers, worry not. For anyone can achieve the power that those successful work from home businesspeople have that you do not. Because success is a choice, not an event. And in fact you already wield this mighty force; you just don't realize it yet.

Maybe I shouldn't tell you what the one word is.

Now that I think about it, if I revealed the one word in The Work From Home Bible to you, I bet you wouldn't be able to appreciate the absolutely potent and powerful significance; the awesomely energetic potential of the one word in The Work From Home Bible.

Yeah, I'm not going to tell you people that want to work from home what the one word in The Work From Home Bible is. Instead, I am going to instill within you, without you knowing, a taste of the power the one word from The Work From Home Bible grants to its followers.

I am going to show you, not tell you. If you try and discover what the one word from The Work From Home Bible is, you will come to know its power. Just the very act of seeking out the one word from The Work From Home Bible will impart upon you the knowledge that you seek.

Finding the one word from The Work From Home Bible is not difficult. I could answer it with a simple one word email reply. I have uttered it before in other venues and online mediums. Once you encounter the one word from The Work From Home Bible, you will understand it's power and meaning.

Thus if you want it, then you understand it. You feel it already. I can sense the power within you; you just don't know what to call it yet.

That is the one word in The Work From Home Bible.

Finding a MLM Opportunity on the Internet
by Tatiana A. Ivanova

Not surprisingly, multi-level marketing opportunities abound on the Internet. If you find yourself signing up to receive information about business opportunities, 95% of what you will receive is MLM. For those who are looking for that type of business, the odds are in your favor, but for those looking for a real business opportunity with immediate income potential, it can be frustrating. For the person who is interested in the world of MLM, you need only search the Internet to find how many opportunities are available.

One of the most appealing parts of multi-level marketing for many people is how easy it is to set up and how little the initial investment is. Unfortunately, those who are new to network marketing and MLM can be led into believing that there is almost no work involved, and sadly, many of the sites that other networks have for the sole purpose of recruiting tell you just that very thing. You see advertisements like, "I made $60,000 the first month." Really? And how was that? Unless someone went out on the street and grabbed everyone he saw and dragged them by the hair into his network, there is no possible way that someone can build a network that quickly. Is it deception? More likely exaggeration and an attempt to draw more people into the network so they can make the $60,000 in one month that they are claiming.

When you're looking for a MLM business opportunity, the key is to look for reality. Don't believe all of the claims that you see about how quickly the business can start earning money for you because each person is different. Another determining factor is how much time you have to devote to promoting your business and bringing in new members to the network. If both a husband and wife work, there is little time to work on the business, especially if there are children; however, if a wife is fortunate enough to stay home, she can work on the business during the day as she has the time.

The important thing in this type of business is to find the one that suits your needs. Some organizations are set up to require a lot of out of town meetings with the upline, and others are almost exclusively Internet-based. You must choose the one that meets your needs and budget. The differences in needs are one of the reasons that so many different organizations exist on the Internet and have not yet become saturated. New ones are developing on a daily basis, so if you don't find the right organization for you today, keep searching because eventually you will find exactly what you need in order to make your dreams and aspirations a reality.

Designing A Website That Loads Quickly
by Smith, Jay

The amount of time it takes for your website to load onto the visitor's screen is a major influence on traffic to your site. Research has shown that most internet users will leave your website if it takes more than 10 seconds to load and some potential guests will exit even faster. A quick loading website is vitally important to the success of your site.

There are a variety of different ways a person may access your site. Individuals still using dial-up connections will typically see the slowest load times. If you have a site that loads slowly for high speed internet users, chances are that those with dial-up will give up long before the site is loaded. To get visitors to browse your website, it must load quickly.

One way to tell if your website may load too slowly is to check your visitor statistics. Look for a high number of page loads for your home page with little or no activity on the other pages. This could mean your visitors are clicking away because they become tired of waiting for your page to load.

To ensure a quick and efficient loading time, monitor the size of each of your website pages, as well as the download time. There are a few other things you can do to increase your loading time as well.

Weigh Your Graphics

Images, pictures, and other graphics are one of the main causes of slow loading web pages. Use a minimal amount of graphics in your website design, only using those that are really necessary. If your page is loading too slowly, reevaluate your graphics and eliminate more if possible.

Revise Your Code

Unnecessary coding can create a larger file size that slows down your page loading. Design your pages using style sheets to decrease the amount of HTML coding in each page. You can also use a tool like HTML Tidy to eliminate any coding within your page that is not needed.

Resize Your Images

If you have eliminated your unnecessary coding and unneeded graphics, but still experience sluggish loading times, you can resize your graphics. Using a photo editing program like Adobe Photoshop, you can make the images and pictures you need to keep in your website design smaller so they load faster.

Evaluate Your Web Host

A website can only be as good as the web host. If you have followed the previous suggestions and still have slow loading web pages, your host could be to blame. Test the loading time of your website on other computers with various types of internet connections and if the problem remains, you should consider contacting your hosting company to discuss the issue. If your situation is not resolved, it may be time to find a new web host.

Fast load times will increase your traffic and visitors will browse your site longer. An increase in traffic and visitor lengths can only bring an increase in sales!

How to Start your Own Credit Repair Business
by Carlos Hernandez

90% of all Americans have less than perfect credit. Most people do not know how much bad credit affects their lives everyday. Bad credit prevents many people from living where they want to live, driving the car they want to drive, and working where they want to work. Bad credit is a big problem because a large percentage of the population is not educated about their credit. The lack of knowledge leaves the door open for a great opportunity to help the community, and make an amazing income. All it takes to start your own credit repair business is a little know how.

Starting a credit repair business is not as complicated or expensive as you may think. First, you must research all state and federal law governing the credit repair business profession. Most states have few regulations because federal law, namely the Credit Repair Organizations Act, has strict congressional standards of practice for a credit repair business. You will need a business license for the county and city your business is located in. You will also need business cards, which you can find for free at www.vistaprint.com. You will also need a smart advertising plan, which will be your biggest expense. This business can be done from home on a part time basis. All you need is a computer. This saves the expense of office space.

Finding clients for your credit repair business is one of the easier tasks. Friends, family and co-workers will be your first source of clients. Real estate professionals are also a big source of quality referrals. Realtors and Mortgage Brokers come across lots of clients who have less than perfect credit. These clients desperately want to buy their own property, so they are great candidates for your services. Car dealerships, and any other kind of business that deals with financing can also be ideal sources of referrals, but you must approach them in the correct manner. This is something I learned the hard way.

Repairing a clients' credit is all about knowledge of the laws and knowing how to deal with creditors, collection agencies, and credit bureaus. The process of removing negative and erroneous items from a credit report is a very cut and dry process, but knowing how to correspond with the credit bureaus is a very delicate process. You must know exactly what you are doing, because a mistake during this process can cause lots of damage to your client's credit profile.

The billing process for a credit repair business is simple. I charge my clients a set up fee of $99. I collect this fee upfront, before any work is done. I also have each client sign a 12 month contract at $30 per month. The contract is worth $360, 12 months times $30 per month. I sell this contract to a factoring company. They pay me 80% of the contract, or $288 upfront, so I can keep a positive cash flow for advertising and other expenses that come up. The factoring company takes care of all the billing tasks. The clients pay them directly. Awesome deal!!!!!!!

The credit repair business is booming. Learning how to start a credit repair business has been a hot topic in many online blogs and message boards. Starting a credit repair business is a great way to go if you are looking to start a successful business with a limited budget. Renting A Home For Your Business
by Obinna Heche

Making the right choice for your business in regards to whether you want to stay at home or invest in some type of building is sometimes a difficult one, especially when you look at some of the disadvantages. Certainly, you save money working at home but at the same time many people are faced with the dilemma of people knowing they are working at home and think they are free to run all their errands for them.

This is especially a problem for women who may have friends who work jobs away from home and do not seem to have time to do the things that they need to do after work. They find it difficult to comprehend that even though your business is at home, you have just as much work to do as they do. For many business owners, this seems to be a difficult situation and they find themselves finding it difficult to say no except for perhaps the day care provider who would have to drag several children along to run chores for friends and family.

On the other hand, if your business does not require a separate facility, its much cheaper to operate out of your home than to go to the expense of investing in a separate locality. You have to be careful because some counties have deed restrictions that prohibit you from operating some types of businesses and you will need to apply for a variance. In most cases, these restrictions are the result of potential increases in traffic or parking problems because of your business venture.

This may be a problem if you are planning to open a retail shop over your garage since there is likely to be a constant flow of traffic to and from your home. The same may also hold true for a secretarial service because even with appointment times you are liable to have people who want to drop in to deliver or pick up projects and you may not wish to turn them away. Working your business at home if you have young children can be troublesome because of the amount of distractions.

If you consider doing it to avoid daycare costs, you should rethink your analogy unless your home business is one that you can do as you see fit such as in the field of freelance writing and editing. If you have clients coming to your home or you perform freelance legal or medical transcription, you will need to be available during the daytime to perform these functions and you will need to be free of distractions.

That means you will still want to place your children in daycare if they are under school age. If they are in school, you may still want to consider after school care unless they are older and able to come home and participate in quiet activities until you have finished work for the day.

Wholesale Drop Ship - Tips for Success
by Jack Lowry

Running an online business that ships to customers through wholesale drop ship suppliers is a great way to generate income. There are two important things though that you must understand if you want to be successful with dropshipping. You must find a good, reliable wholesale distributor dropshipper, and you must be willing to do the work required to build a successful business.

If you don't know what dropshipping entails, it is when the manufacturer ships a product directly to a customer on your behalf. Therefore you don't have to worry about inventory or shipping costs.

In order to choose a product that will be successful, do three things. Make sure the product is not already being sold all over the internet at prices you cannot compete with. Make sure the product targets a market niche and not something that caters to everyone; it is much easier to be successful this way. And ask yourself if the product is something you would buy.

Remember, most people who try to run a business online by using wholesale drop ship suppliers do not know how to market or promote products online. They will haphazardly throw up a website, maybe guy some Google AdWords and hope they get some traffic. They do not focus on building websites targeted to a niche. They don't do any search engine optimization. They don't try to capture their visitors' email address and don't stay in contact with their customers.

Selling wholesale drop shipped products on a website should not be your only means of revenue. Other venue like auction sites (eBay for instance), yard sales, other retailers, mail order, and flea markets can be used to make money. So, do not attempt to build a business using a wholesale drop ship supplier if you are not willing to truly be an entrepreneur. Using a dropshipper removes you from the order fulfillment process but it does not remove you from the rest of the business.

Starting A Home Business Is Easier Than You Think
by Jack Lowry

Fear is the biggest culprit of failed home businesses. In this day and age, starting a home business can be so cheap, quick and easy, a lack of action and follow-through on whatever home business plans you come across is devastating. And it is the fear of failure, and the simple acknowledgment of the existence of failure, that prevents people from starting a home business.

Don't let fear get in the way of your dreams. Starting a home business is so simple that it can be done completely cost-free and risk-free, aside from the hour or two you might spend a day working on your home business. Consider this home business startup opportunity that many people are doing to bring in several thousands of dollars per month: affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting another person's product, and receiving a commission fee based on the sale price for every customer you convert. There are several affiliate programs on the internet you can join to start your home business.

By becoming an affiliate you don't have to worry about inventory costs, customer service, shipping costs, product creation costs, and all the usual risks associated with staring a home business. Because these product owners already have a website, your only job is to direct traffic to their website. In fact, it could be as simple as building a simple redirect website home page, for free, that sends a customer directly to the product's website. Starting a home business has never been easier.

You can setup your own blog, for free, do simple keyword research on popular research engines, and then tailor your content posts and article writing to these keywords that target the market niche for the product with which you are affiliated.

Starting a home business is not as frightening as most people think, and it can be much more enjoyable and take less time than YOU think.

Will You Succeed In Your Home Based Business?
by Alex Yeo

If you are getting ready to start your home based business, two very crucial factors to determine whether you will succeed are your perseverance and self-motivation. In your journey towards success, you will definitely faced many obstacles.

For your business to succeed, you really need to put in the time and effort. Most often, you will not see any incredible success in a short time frame. It may just take 6 months or even a few years before you can taste the fruits of your labor. In fact, starting a home based business is very similar to your studies. How much effort and time you need to put in before you can get your bachelor degree? 3 to 4 years, am I right?

You must do your business with a correct mindset. That is very important. Don't believe in all the hype which promises that you will earn $100,000 in just a few weeks. All those are false promises, and 100% of the time you will not achieve those results.

Get Real! Get-rich-quick schemes don't work. If it is so easy, all the poeple on Earth will be a millionaire or even a billionaire. Instead of trying to make fast money, why don't you learn the correct business strategies fast? Skills such as marketing, driving target traffics to your website, copywriting etc are extremely useful. If you can master them, money will come to you automatically rather than you chasing after money.

Having a mentor will also help you taste success faster. Mentor is somebody who can guide you and shorten your learning curve by at least half. I don't think you want to go through the school of hard knocks. Most often, you will end up very frustrated and quit your home based business. Meeting up with your mentor at least once a week will be good. You can tell him what's your progress in your business. If you can't meet him up in person, having a phone chat will do also.

So, in order to succeed in your home based business, do not quit! Do it till you make it. Persevere and keep yourself motivated. Give yourself enough time and very soon you will see the results.

Make Money Parking Your Domains
by Thara Washington

Initially, parking your domain wasn't a good idea, unless you knew how to make the MOST of it. When you know the right moves it will really be something worth trying and that's exactly what we're going to discover and discuss.

You can make a truckload of money parking your domains if you know exactly where to park it and how to make sure that you're the one that comes out on top.

You can park your domains using the parking spaces that are already available on the internet. To avoid the obvious bullying by some web hosting providers, some people opt to create their own parking space and thereby increase their profits a hundredfold.

When choosing a domain name be sure to pick a name that is keyword rich so that you can be certain you'll attract a lot of searches so that you increase the popularity of your domain name(s). Of course you can't increase popularity if your domain doesn't have good page rank.

You can't be on page twenty-three of a search and expect to earn Donald Trump's salary; it's just not gonna happen. Also be sure that the links that you have posted on your site are quality so they boost the value of your site.

Adding affiliate programs to your site is a great way to add to the revenue of your domain because these affiliates will bring in even greater popularity to your site and ultimately increase the dollars that end up in your pocket. Plus you're not the one doing the work, but you'll be the one getting paid.

Although throughout this article I've hinted to the fact that the work is minimal, it doesn't in anyway mean that there isn't any work whatsoever required. There is. There isn't a lot of hard work to do but rather smart work.

If you invest your time into doing the things that would promote your domain(s) then that's working smart. Working smart just requires that you invest whatever time you have wisely.

When you park a domain it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to create a website for each name you register. You can simply register the domain names and sell them to larger companies. The major objective is to buy low and sell high. (Sort of like real estate)

Here are some sure fire ways to generate traffic;

1 You can use an expired name that had an established traffic so you get all the traffic that the old site once had.

2 The name of the domain is a typo of an already established site; for example get-it-all.net, get-it-yall.net.

3 Create or use a keyword that can generate traffic of its own.

There are a number of sites that help the average domain parker to get a really good head start by providing services designed specifically for Domain parkers to help you make the most of the opportunity- for a fee of course.

These sites help by giving you the traffic monetization tool that helps you figure out which pay per click (PPC) ad network will bring in the most domain parking revenue. You can have more than one domain name registered with these parking service providers.

Choosing a service provider isn't easy because you have to be sure that the one you choose will put you on the right road to making the most profit. The best way to choose is by making a comparison. Here's a site that objectively compares Domain Parking Service providers to offer you the best choice; 'ParkQuick.com'.

With this guide on how to make money by parking your domain you have the tools and information necessary to starting making serious cash off domain parking but if you feel this wasn't enough then check this site out;

The launch of Google pay per action
by Cyrus Taraporvala

http://www.thepromotiongroup.com

If you partake in Google's AdWords program, you may notice an alert in your account to try pay-per-action advertising. Pay-Per-Action (beta) offers a new pricing model for advertisers where they only pay for actions that are specifically defined. This means that a publisher would only get paid upon completed conversion, and not on the number of hits generated for the advertiser.

The initial launch of this beta project was undertaken in March of this year with select Google clients. Based on a positive feedback, Google have announced that this project will now be undertaken worldwide. An announcement by Google stated that, "Starting today, advertisers in the beta will see an alert in their AdWords account informing them that they can now create pay-per-action campaigns. Going forward, advertisers who have enabled AdWords conversion tracking and received more than 500 conversions from their CPC and CPM-based campaigns in the past 30 days will be automatically added to the beta on a rolling basis."

This innovative program that resembles an affiliate program in many ways, should keep advertisers happy, taking into consideration the following factors:

1. It will give a clear definition to a company's marketing budget.

2. Advertiser's will feel that pay-per-action-advertising offers more credibility towards a marketing campaign.

3. There will no longer be any doubt in the mind of the advertiser that false hits are generated by their AdWords program, leading to lost advertising revenue.

Advertisers will have to clearly define what they want a user to do on their site. This can be done in the 'Conversion Tracking (PPA Beta)' section of the advertiser's AdWords account, after which a cost-per-action (CPA) value will have to be set. To confirm a conversion, a relevant landing page will have to be made to which the user arrives at after a conversion is made. The advertiser will then have to ensure that conversions will be tracked by making sure that the AdWords conversion tracking has been implemented. A daily budget can also be set by the advertiser towards campaigns. To ensure that an action goes live, the advertiser has to verify that the conversion tracking code has been set up correctly.

In conclusion, the program looks promising. However, time will only tell whether pay-per-action advertising will be popular with advertisers as well as publishers. Something had to give based on the number of complaints on click fraud, and this might well be the answer.

How To Pace Yourself With Your Home Business
by Danijela Zobundija

Some You Should Consider About Learning How To Pace Yourself with Your Home Business Work

When you work from home it is very easy to work your tail off, literally. You might find that since you are working from home, there is simply no set time where your work is finished. You might feel as though since you are at home, the project that you weren't able to complete during the day. It might be very tempting to continue working long into the night, because you simply don't have to come home from work, you are already there.

On the other hand, it might be very tempting to not work very much during certain days. You might feel as though since you are working from home, you can go ahead and take whatever breaks you feel like taking, and if you don't want to work in the morning or work all day long, you don't have to.

Either way, you are going to run into some problems. First of all, you are going to find that if you work all of the time you are taking away from your home and from your family. You might also find that if you fail to work when you are supposed to, you aren't going to meet deadlines, and our business is going to suffer.

No matter which of these problems you have, there is one clear solution, and that is to pace yourself. You need to take direction from yourself, but you also need to actually set goals and expectations for yourself, even if you are the only employee.

There are several good ways to do this. The first thing that you can do is set a timetable for when you are going to work and when you aren't. Set actual office hours, and stick to them, even if it is only a few hours a day. You can make this easier by also scheduling yourself time to do other things. Leave one afternoon free for running errands, and another one free for cleaning your house. If you schedule yourself completely, you'll find that you can more easily stick to your schedule. Remember that the most important things you can do in order to pace yourself include writing down when assignments and projects are due, and then making a chart of work days to allow yourself plenty of time to complete them. This is the most important thing, because if you allow yourself plenty of time to complete everything, you'll find that you are much more able to actually get the work done that is allotted to you, and your home business is going to be even more of a success. The most important key to pacing yourself is having good time management skills, and being able to implement them in a home business setting.

Turning Gaming into Money?
by Bruno Auger

Gaming technology can be readily adapted for positive uses in training and rehabilitation. Gaming also opens up legal avenues to finding precedents for blocking packet prioritization on the basis of the irreparable harm done to gaming communities. No matter where you are in the world or your gaming experience, if you are a mature online gamer that values teamwork, communication and the desire to win, you will find the right gaming group or organization to join.

As a form of multimedia entertainment, modern video games contain a unique synthesis of 3D art, CG effects, architecture, artificial intelligence, sound effects, dramatic performances, music, storytelling, and, most importantly, interactivity. This interactivity enables the player to explore environments that range from simulated reality to stylized, artistic expressions (something no other form of entertainment can allow) where the actions of the player operating as a single, irreducible variable.
Games have often been easier to classify by genre due to the technical constraints of various platforms, and commercial pressures like one would experience in any hit driven, entertainment market. Perhaps the most visible benefits of video gaming are its artistic and entertainment contributions. Indeed, most games require a great deal of patience and focus from the player, and, contrary to the popular perception that games provide instant gratification, games actually delay gratification far longer than other forms of entertainment such as film or even many books.

Advertising keeps magazines and television channels afloat, and so they feel obliged to cover the games that pay for their advertising space. Advertising content is delivered to gaming platforms in dependence upon a location of the mobile platform. While many games charge a monthly fee to web surfers, such as World of Warcraft, many other sites relied on advertising revenues from on-site sponsors, while others, like RuneScape, lets people play for free while leaving the players the option of paying, unlocking new skills for the members. Since we're at the start of an online advertising boom right now, expect to see more free ad-supported games in the years to come.

Gaming companies see ancillary opportunities in related businesses as well. It is this experience of escapism, community and a psycho-social moratorium in which identity, issues and cultural forms can be freely explored, that lies at the heart of gaming and the gaming sub-culture. Gamers also used conventions, forums in magazines like "Dragon" and in local gaming groups to coordinate local lobbying of law enforcement, schools and parents as well as engage in numerous letter campaigns and articles submitted to mainstream news letters, magazines and television programs with varying degrees of success.

How To Create A Hot Selling Niche Product In 24 Hours
by Paul Bicknell

I'm going to show you how to create a hot selling info product in one day. And get this, you'll only have to write five paragraphs. Anyone on the planet can do this. Really, absolutely anyone can do this. So without further ado let's get started.

Now what we're going to do is use other peoples hard work to create our very own unique products. Sounds too good to be true doesn't it. However this is a very real opportunity that the top gun ebook publishers use time and time again to create products in lightning quick time.

Go to www.goarticles.com. Last week remember we looked at how to find niche ebook ideas in article directories. Well today we're going to use the content in them to create ebooks.

You see web site owners write articles and submit them to article directories so that they get free publicity for their sites. At the end of each article is a link back to their web site with a bit of information about their site for example. These site owners want people to take that article and market it to people so they get visitors to their site without spending a dime on marketing. This is perfect for savvy entrepreneurs who are willing to spend a few hours of their time in order to profit for many years to come.

What we can do at go articles.com is type in a niche in the search bar at the top right (make sure it's on "article content" rather than search by author). Type in your niche market. So for example type in "dogs". You'll get thousands of result related to what you have searched for. Now what I want you to do is simply go through the results finding at least seventy quality articles related to the dog market and copy and paste them into word or some kind of word processing application.

As I've said make sure they are quality articles. If you create an ebook using rubbish you'll just get a sky high refund rate and it will all be a pointless exercise. Do it right from the off and you'll set yourself up for success.

If you can try and tie all the articles together in one sub niche. For example a sub niche of dogs might be training your dog. So you could find articles on stopping your dog from barking at night, toilet training that kind of thing. Use a bit of imagination when using this method.

Email Article Authors

You don't want to use any articles without the authors permission. Remember the majority of articles will have been submitted so the author can get visitors to their site without spending a dime. However you never want to breach any copyright laws. To avoid this email the authors of each article. Explain to them that you are creating an ebook aimed at their niche market. You'd love to include their article in your book and you'll include a link back to their site and information about them. Also ask them if they have any other articles you could include.

You can expert around seventy percent of authors you contact to be delighted you're going to include their article in your book. Then all you need to do is discard the articles from authors who you haven't heard from or who won't let you use their article.

Put the articles in an order that makes sense and create a contents page. Use the titles of the articles as contents topics. You could even create chapters aimed at solving certain problems people in your niche have. So for example if you were creating an ebook on golf you could create a section on improving your golf swing, a section on the mind game of golf and so on. All articles would make up separate chapters.

Finally write a short introduction and conclusion. These only need to be a few paragraphs each. Tell people what they can expect to learn and make sure you sign off using your name. Instantly you will establish yourself as an expert. You can also link to your back end products at the end of the book to increase your sales.

Finally you need to turn it into an ebook to sell. Go to http://www.primopdf.com/ and download the software. Don't worry it won't cost you a dime. Once downloaded all you need to do is in your word software hit "file" and then "print" and then select "primo PDF" as your printer. Voila. You'ev just created an ebook using other peoples hard work. This whole process can be done in just a few hours. Obviously you may need to wait a day or two for the article authors to get back to you but apart from that you're all set! Anyone can use this method to create more ebooks than you'd ever be able to sell.

That's a great method right? I mean it won't cost you anything to create a product yet you could sell hundreds if not thousands of copies and keep all the profits using other peoples hard work!

Making Money From Home With Blog Trackback Links
by Liane Bate

If you're like most online business owners, you are probably interested in making money from home with your website's blog. After all, blogging is free and one of the best ways to build traffic and sales without much monetary investment.

Unfortunately, if you're like most people trying to make money from home with your blog, you are also probably suffering from a shortage of visitors to your blog.

Do you create incredible content and post regularly to your blog, but are still not seeing the kind of traffic you want or making money from home with your blog the way you want to? If so, you should really be looking at what you are doing with your blog, and rework some things to drive more traffic to your site.

The first key to building traffic to your blog is adding quality content to it frequently. This means once per week at the very minimum, but you can blog safely up to three times per day if you really want to. Blogging and pinging may create traffic if you have the content, but it may not be enough.

If you want to make money from home with your blog, it's important to consider other ways of making the sales you want. One way that you can increase the links back to your site is by reading other people's blogs that are related in content to your blog, and commenting on them with your link at the end of your post.

It may seem time-consuming and worthless to you, but good bloggers get involved with a community of bloggers who talk about the same things and trade links with this method, thereby trading traffic between blogs at the same time. If you have good content but suffer from no blog traffic, then you will want to consider this avenue of increasing link-backs to your blog.

Not only that, but you will see more traffic just from other bloggers reading your comments and clicking on your links, as well as search engine traffic when they spider your links in the comments you've posted. The key thing to remember is that this is targeted traffic - people who are interested already in your website's niche.

Trackback links are another way to increase blog traffic and make money from home with your blog. You can take advantage of this method because not many people know what it is, how it works, or how their blogs can benefit from it.

Basically, a trackback will let another person's website know when you make a blog post that refers to that other person's blog post. It's like citing references within your blog post for your readers to click on when they want more information on the same topic by another author.

When you do this, a short blurb from your blog post will appear on that person's site, giving you a link back and more traffic to your site. You just have to check that the other blogger has a trackback link. Most WordPress blogs should have this feature, but probably not a lot of Blogger blogs will.

Trackback has a feature that is like having comments enabled or disabled on your blog and moderating them to decide if you want to keep them or discard them.

The difference between commenting on other's blogs and having a trackback link, and what makes a trackback link more useful is that you get way more targeted links pointing back to your site than via a regular link or comment exchange. The search engines will like these kinds of links better than a regular link too.

You can increase your blog traffic and start making money from home with your blog if you create solid content, use blog commenting wisely, join a community of bloggers, and implement the trackback feature on your blog to cite other blogs and create link-backs to your own.

Start Your Own eBay Business - 100% Success Guaranteed Training
by Brian McGregor

As you may know, there's never been a better time to start your own eBay business. eBay is an internet phenomenon.

Many people are trying to make money from the internet. One route many believe is the best, is to create a web site and try and sell goods from it. And there's no doubt some are making money doing exactly that.

Unfortunately, the successes far outnumber the failures. There are billions of web sites out there, but very few are making their owners much money, if any!

There are two huge problems you have when creating an ecommerce web site. The first is getting it up and running. Assuming you are an individual hoping to create a home based business, then you will find it can take weeks or even months to learn and apply the necessary skills to create a decent web site.

You might think that when your web site is complete, you've made it. However, you are now presented with big problem number two!

Who knows your web site exists? Where is your traffic going to come from? How will your prospective customers ever find you in among the billion other web sites?

Now I'm not saying you should never create your own web sites. But I am saying if you're creating that site in order to make money, there is a far better way.

That better way is eBay.

You will know that eBay is the biggest auction web site on the internet. In fact at the time I wrote this, the industry yardstick site Alexa shows that eBay is the number one shopping site on the internet. It's above Amazon, Yahoo and Wal-Mart.

One of the reasons for that success is that eBay neatly answers the two major problems you and I have when we create web sites in order to make money.

Remember our two problems were in creating our site and getting people to visit it. With eBay, your auction is the equivalent to the sales page on your web site. Creating an eBay auction is a matter of completing some on-screen forms. It literally takes minutes.

Once you've created your auction, it is then available to be seen by eBay's massive traffic. Using eBay auctions, your traffic problem is solved for you - instantly.

You might be wondering if it's that easy, why aren't lots of people making a living selling on eBay? The answer is, they are. eBay estimate that for 470,000 members, their eBay income is their only, or is their major source of household income!

If you'd like to make money from home using the internet, you should definitely start your own eBay business.

Drop Shipping - Sell High and then Buy Low
by Rick Calligaris

Drop Shipping is a method for buying wholesale products and re-selling them online or off-line for a profit.

It is one of the greatest businesses to operate from home. And is an easy and affordable way to launch a profitable online business due to the extremely low start-up costs.

I have personally made more money marketing wholesale products online than any other business venture I have been involved in.

You will find that drop shipping is becoming more and more common as product vendors and home-based businesses look to the internet to find reliable suppliers. The best part of drop shipping is that you dont have to pre-buy products, maintain them in inventory until sold, and then ship them to your customer.

As with any business, you need to negotiate the best deal you can with your wholesale drop ship supplier. And, I recommend that you focus on selling brand name merchandise until you become more comfortable with your ability to market a wider range of products. Its easy to experiment once you are making a profit!

Also, I recommend that you stay away from promoting large, heavy products as shipping costs may be prohibitive. And keep in mind that your product sales will depend on whether there is enough demand for that product. There are a number of easy and free methods to research market demands online.

As you can imagine, the idea of drop shipping fits in well with online auctions such as eBay where you can acquire a large volume of traffic very quickly. All you have to do is make your ad unique so that it stands out from the rest and offer an attractive price in order to be successful.

The key advantage of drop shipping is simple, zero inventory costs, quick to set up a business, and lastly you can market a wide range of
products with no additional risk to increase your profits.

All you need to do is concentrate on developing your business and using eBay's traffic to help you make money. This is truly a simple business formula.

In order to create additional streams of income you may want to consider several other creative opportunities to market your products. You can sell your drop shippers merchandise on the internet, use other auction sites, schedule home parties, create and distribute your own catalog, put flyers up at local markets or on public bulletin boards, or sell at flea markets.

And the best part is you do not have to buy anything until after the products is sold. Simply take the order and let your drop shipper deliver the product to your customer. It does not get any easier than that.

In closing, there are many factors to consider to when determining whether drop shipping is right for you and you should make the effort to research and select the right drop shipper to partner with. This will help to insure your success and provide you a more pleasurable business experience.

Home Based Internet Business - Anatomy of a Successful Business
by Jack Lowry

Success in business, as well as life, depends upon two things: a clear and achievable set of goals, and a plan of action for achievement. The probability of home based internet business success can be greatly increased by simply constructing these two things - goals and plans. The actual process of mapping out these necessities for a successful home based internet business may seem daunting at first, but once you get moving, the whole thing is easy as pie!

First, arriving at a set of clear and reasonably achievable goals for your home based internet business requires a positive and ready-to-work attitude. Desire and motivation are keys to taking action, and one way to increase desire is through laying out your dreams. Think of dreams you want to accomplish, and I mean really far-out there dreams like finding a cure for cancer or helping to build a moon colony or whatever gets your heart racing, and realize that these dreams are only achievable through a successful home based internet business.

Allow me let you in on another motivating factor. There are thousands of successful home based internet businesses that are generating $50,000 and more per month, while their owners work less than 20 hours per week on them. Imagine the freedom and power you would have if you were in that kind of situation. Achieving your dreams is not as impossible as you might believe.

Now that you are properly motivated, you are ready to lay out a clear set of goals for your home based internet business. Is your dream a brand new $250,000 Ferrari? What would be the cost to finance that purchase? Let's just say it would require $5,000 a month. Let's add 30% to that for unforeseen expenses and other miscellaneous costs of living. So, now you've got a goal for your home based internet business: $6,500 a month of net profit!

Now what is it going to take to reach that goal? Ok, I'll tell you what it will take. It's going take a well-researched home based internet business plan.

Let's say you are going to promote products as an affiliate. And you are going to make $20 for every sale you successfully convert. Ok so that's 325 sales a month. You're going to need to do a test-run for a month or two probably with your free website that you started on a free blog service such as http://www.blogger.com. You are going to need to write content for your blog and build up a reputation in your chosen market niche so the traffic you drive to your home based internet business will visit your affiliate links.

How many sales were you able to achieve in those two months of learning? Can you refine your home based internet business to increase sales? Expand your business as necessary, such as creating more blogs to fill other market niches, or build up your already established home based internet business to reach your goal of 325 sales a month. That is an example of the anatomy of a successful home based internet business.

That is what desire looks like.

Home Business Ideas - A Free Foolproof System For Success
by Jack Lowry

Once you've got a handle on your emotional and mental state of mind (which must be done to achieve success), here is a simple foolproof system for successful home business ideas.

You may already have a home business idea, or you may be looking for some things that will help get your creative juices flowing. Hopefully this system for successful home business ideas will be useful to whomever you are.

The gist of this successful home business idea system is to create a content-rich website, grow it and make it profitable. It will not happen overnight, nor even next month, but it will lay the foundation for achieving a dominant position in your home business idea niche.

Oh yeah, it will be free too!

1. Research your home business idea niche. Look for a problem many people are facing and offer a solution. Follow popular trends try to be ahead of the curve. Focus on eternally popular niches like dating, pregnancy, or travel. Or just simply follow your passion or area of expertise for your home business idea. Use online discussion forums, news websites, online chat groups, and magazines. Then the next step will be to look for the top keywords in your home business idea niche of choice.

2. Setting up your framework. First, set up a blog for content management of your home business idea. Next, integrate your blog with a message forum. Third, set up an autoresponder and integrate it with the forum and blog. What you will essentially have at that point is an automated email newsletter created from your home business idea blog's content.

3. Create content. Create it yourself, or outsource it and hire someone else. Alternatively you can license someone else's content, or buy pre-created content packs and customize them. Focus on creating content for your home business idea that is optimized for your niche keywords. Then, put them into their own site and link to them from your blog, forum and newsletter, thus creating several keyword rich areas.

4. Optimize your blog and content. This would require several more articles! But the idea is to optimize it for search engines for higher pagerank status for your home business idea.

5. Begin marketing everything. Have you blog ping major services, promote your autoresponder opt-in everywhere, submit your blog's RSS feeds, encourage your viewers to spread the word, submit articles linking back to your blog, this too would require several more articles for in-depth explanations!

So, there is just one of many foolproof, and free, systems for successful home business ideas. It may seem complicated and time-consuming, but all of it can be done with less than two hours of work per day. And it really is fun! Your home business idea will be sure to succeed if you stick to the plan.

Stocking Your Affiliate Toolbox
by David Cooper

If you want to make serious money with affiliate marketing, you need to have the right set of tools. I'm not talking about hardware. I'm talking about skills and the right elements of a perfect affiliate online presence. Those are the tools you'll use to make money as a marketer and you'll want to have them all in your toolbox.

A contractor can't build a new house with nothing more than a hammer and a few nails. They'll use everything from earth-moving equipment to razor-sharp wire cutters to go from blueprint to dream house. That's the way it is with affiliate marketing, too. Those who have all the right tools are the ones who can build something meaningful.

What kind of tools do you need? What are the must-haves for an affiliate toolbox?

First, you'll need basic knowledge. That isn't a big surprise. You'll need to understand the fundamental underpinnings of affiliate marketing and you'll want a grasp of how and why it works. Please note that I said "basic" knowledge, not "superficial" knowledge. You need to have a real understanding of they "why" questions.

Second, you'll need to be able to choose the right product. This point can't be overemphasized. Product and program selection are a fundamental part of successful affiliate marketing. The ability to pick smartly often separates the winners from the losers.

Third, you'll need to master advertising. If you want to really promote a product, you'll eventually find yourself making advertising buys. You might be spending on an Adwords campaign. You may decide to buy a few high profile links. You might want to feature a banner in a great location. You need to know how to do it and how to keep costs low.

Fourth, you'll need to use the newest and most powerful techniques to your advantage. Why Choose To Work From Home
by Hector Leon

Today, there're alot of people who are taking advantage of their flexible work schedules and turning to a home based business, as an alternate source of income. Many are choosing to start online affiliate home based business programs because of their low startup costs. One of the first steps towards having success with a home based business is making sure that you have a good home computer with highspeed internet access.

However, after this it can be difficult to decide between the abundant opportunities available for those starting a home based business. It is often more a matter of finding a business that works for you since all of the home based businesses can bring you profits as long as you work at it. So how can you determine which home based business is best for you?

The number one proceedure you should take is to detect what it is that you are precisely good at. Even though owning a home-based business can be quite enjoyable, it can turn unbearable and irksome if you wind up doing something you don't like. You should consider focusing on your likes and setting up work hours that do not interfere with family time.

If you have a family or young kids then you may not want a business that requires meeting with clients or one that requires you to work during the day time. Make sure your management and time plan for a specific home based business will be able to work with your family schedule.

Also consider whether or not you are willing to learn. There are many opportunities on the internet that you may be interested in doing, but without additional learning you may not be suited for the business you want. However, with today's online learning it can be easy to take seminars online without having a conflict with your work schedule and family schedule.

It would also be a fantastic idea to follow the current popular trend of online education, since this is a rapidly growing sector you can offer education related products over the internet.

Try to take into consideration the type of business your getting involved with. Based upon the type of business that your sarting some companies may demand that you provide capital to start. The financial investment required will vary from company to company, also try to find out about the company's ethical conduct and complaints. Make every effort to dig everything you can about the company your're considering to to represent.

Look for referrals from individuals who are involved with the business and interact with those involved who are experiencing a level of success. Talking to others is also a great way to find out everything you need to know about the business.

Blog Software For Your Website
by Tina Dean

Today anyone who has writing ability or is dreaming to be a writer has written a blog in the net. There are blog soft wares that are simple and easy to use and technically inclined and challenged individuals can easily acquire a blog online.

For some people, blogs are their projects of every day living, as they talk about their daily episodes as well as make tribute to friends and family. Furthermore, blogs assume a profound meaning written to compose and assemble political statements, endorse a product, supply information on research, and even offer tutorials. Think of any subject that is of interest to you, it will written about in a blog.

Blogs are now being written by musicians, politicians, sports figures, novelists, newscasters as well as other known figures. It is this blog fever that has raised controversy. The fact that anyone can compose and regarding any subject matter under the sun, complaints about certain write-ups are an issue. In a lot of blogs, names are being mentioned; do bear in mind that although you are entitled to write anything that interests you in a blog, you have to be very careful and take in a lot of responsibility. Do not make any statements which can become controversial; or else, be very prepared.

Why a Blog?

1. For personal acquaintances, relationships and hobby. You can write a blog about you and your daily activities and what's going on with your life. Likewise, you may also write a blog just so you can express what you feel about yourself, or about a certain subject matter that is of interest to you.

2. Topical. Some blogs are committed to a precise topic, like computer hardware or politics. These are frequently read like magazines.

3. For marketing. Corporations are into blogging; when well written and implemented, this kind of blog can be a powerful instrument for business communications, forming eagerness and anticipation regarding their products and services offered, or used as tool within the company, keeping employees well informed about company issues and news.

Why someone else's software?

A lot of Web designer and creators will laugh at the belief and idea of utilizing the software of someone else. This can be correct especially when each software greatly differs from the particular requirements that a client may have. Yet on the other hand, when it refers to a Weblog software, there is no reason for apprehension in the use of a package that is pre-written, as most packages were developed through years of study; not just knocked together over a couple of days.

In addition, you may study its feature set. For a developer, it would take a lot of time and effort to write and compose from "nothing at all" every single feature in the Weblog software packages of today. For most people, a blog is there for the main reason that you choose to publish or make known your story and texts on the Web, so you want to spend your time more on writing than coding.

Hosted Services

If you wish to start broadcasting on the Web, yet does not have web hosting, you can consider looking into a hosted service, which includes Blogger, TypePad, Wordpress, Live Journal, and more.

These services are operated or handled for an individual, so there is no need for you to concern about the technical upkeep of your Weblog; instead, you can concentrate on it's blog's appearance and content. In just minutes, after signing for an account, you can readily start your own blog. Many such services are offered free, such as blogger.

Self-Hosted

When you have Web hosting on hand, or you are eager to buy hosting, in which you feel that the advantage will prevail over the problems of keeping up your own blog connection and installation, then you may want to take into account a package that is self-hosted, which includes Movable Type, Textpattern and WordPress.

Other hosting companies do construct the process to make installation easier, permitting installation with just a click from a control panel that is browser-based. It is important that you check with a hosting company so you can view if this function is offered. Similar to hosted services, some self hosted packages are made available either for free or for a certain fee which is dependent on the type of package that you choose as well as the basis why you are using it.

What is it Like Being a Paid Blogger?
by Stephanie Foster

Paid blogging has taken off tremendously this past year. But it has also been highly controversial. Even so, it's a fun way to earn money from home.

PayPerPost has been probably the most controversial of all the companies. Many big name bloggers have tried to tear them down as well as the bloggers who post for them. They've been responsive in many ways, and changed in ways their critics could have liked, such as requiring disclosure, but many considered it to be too little too late.

Other companies, such as ReviewMe and Blogsvertise have been less controversial. There are now a fair number of companies out there paying bloggers to post for advertisers.

Disclosure has been a huge issue. Not all companies require disclosure, and different companies prefer that you disclose in different ways. Considering how the FTC has been looking at word of mouth advertising, I would say a sitewide disclosure is the minimum you should do if you have any advertising on your sites.

Despite the controversy, I like PayPerPost best. They offer me the most flexibility and add less to the advertiser's costs than other companies do. I can look through their opportunities and find ones I am willing to blog about.

One of the controversial details has been that some companies only want a positive review, and PayPerPost allows them to ask for it. My own rule with that has been to look harder at such companies when considering accepting their opportunities. I like being able to say what's on my mind. I've never been flat out insulting, but if I see a problem I don't want to worry about what I'm saying.

The one problem with being able to choose my own opportunities is the amount of time it can take. I can spend too much time just refreshing and looking for good opps. Some days they are just plain hard to get. But I earn more this way than by waiting for companies to choose me.

Another of the big concerns people have is that people are more likely to praise companies that pay them to post about them. It's certainly a legitimate concern. And it would be very easy to sing the praises of companies you haven't tried. If you do a bit of research you can figure out if a company is worth your praise or if they've been a problem for people who have actually been there.

It's tough keeping the integrity of a blog intact when you blog for pay. My own preference is to be extremely picky about the topics I blog on, even when pay is offered. Even when high pay is offered. If the topic doesn't fit, I won't do it.

You'll see good and bad things when you look at the world of paid blogging. You'll see plenty of bloggers doing exactly what the critics say paid blogging is all about. But you'll also see brilliant, honest posts from people who have finally found a way to earn good money from their blogs.

Blogging for Money in 3 Steps
by C Brown

What do you need in your blog? As I see it, you've got 3 objectives: to get traffic, to get names and emails to build a list, and, of course, to make money. Let me show you how to do this. It's as simple as can be.

Of course, first you'll need a blog. You can sign up to use Blogger or WordPress. Then you'll need to come up with some content based around your business or interests. What do you include? Show your personality, put up some pictures if you'd like. I recommend writing just as you speak. Start typing away just as you would talk; keep it informal. Also, keep in mind what you write now may be on your blog for years to come and read by others. So you may also want some posts to be timeless. Just remember that. You should also write as a personal consultant or expert on your topic.

Second, create a lead capture form on the home page of your blog. You can do this by using an email autoresponder program like GetRepsonse or AWeber. You may have to pay to sign up but it's worth it . . . definitely worth it. This helps you manage your list and you can send out emails to your list whenever you like. It's like putting out an ad to your customers. It's how you communciate. YOU NEED IT (in my opinion). Then you just build a relationship with your list--and offer specials, use affiliate links, recommend your network marketing business, etc. But it's a relationship you want.

I guess I'll include a BONUS tip here. When you send out emails to your list, include those emails on your blog--and if they're good--you can submit them as articles to major article directories. I recommend doing this daily. This will give you some good content and lots of blog posts in no time. You can do this in about an hour a day once you get going.

Third, you want to make some money immediately. So what do you do? You can use Google's AdSense program or a newer program called AuctionAds. Place this ad code on your blog so that when people click on the urls you make a small amount of money. But remember the more traffic you get the more money you'll be making--it's that simple. Once you place the code, you're set. I also recommend placing the code within some of your articles--just don't overdo it. You still want to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

A blog is so simple but it's necessary in my opinion. It serves as part of the foundation of your business. So use it to create valuable content, to build a relationship, and to make money.

Search Engine Optimization: Building Quality Backlinks
by Simplifying The WEB

If you're serious about Search Engine Optimization, then one of the most important aspects is going to be building backlinks. More than any other aspect of your website except perhaps for keyword-rich content, who links to you and how popular they are affects your own page rank.

Any website can stuff a page full of keywords. But only legitimate sites--or so the reasoning goes--will actually have lots of other sites linking to them. Backlinks, then, become essential in Search Engine Optimization and website development.

But how do you go about getting them? Who are the best sites to get them from?

One of the best ways to get backlinks is just to ask for them. You might offer to exchange links, placing a link to their site on your website in exchange for a link to your site on theirs. Having strong content is another good way of increasing backlinks. People will naturally link to you if you have content that they want to recommend. Strong content is the only way to get links in SMO (Social Media Optimization, using sites such as YouTube, MySpace, and other popular 'social sites' to increase your traffic).

The best sites to get backlinks from are, of course, those who have high page ranks themselves. Some webmasters use the Google toolbar to see just how high any given site ranks, but most Search Engine Optimization experts advise against this. The toolbar is not necessarily up-to-date or even accurate.

The best way of finding sites that you want backlinks from is simply to go to a search engine (and different search engines will have different results, so do this with as many as you can) and input the search term you want. For example, if you want people searching for "Orange County Website Design" to find your website, input "Orange County Website Design" into a search engine. Look at the top 20 pages (the top 50, if you have the time). Do any of them look like sites that might be willing to backlink to your site?

Go to each site in turn and find the webmaster's email address. Send them a quick email, briefly describing your website (one or two short paragraphs, please!) and asking if he would be willing to backlink to it. If he doesn't have that authority, he should know who does, and he should be willing to put you in touch with them. Be willing to exchange links if the website requests it, unless they're a site you wouldn't want to link to. If the site looks suspicious, don't try to get a link from them to begin with.

Requesting backlinks this way ensures that the sites that link to you will have high page rank for that keyword. And it gives you almost unlimited resources. The top 50 search results in 10 search engines will give you 500 pages to query, and that's just for that one keyword! Inputting a different keyword will no doubt change the order of sites a bit. Lower sites may rank higher, and higher sites may rank lower. Plus, it may bring up completely new sites. Some sites that rank high for "Orange County Website Design" will also rank high for "Orange County Web Design ". But some sites that rank high for "Orange County Web Design" may not have shown up at all in your quest for "Orange County Website Design". Yet both sites would provide valuable backlinks to your site, which promotes all aspects of web design services in Orange County.

Getting backlinks is a huge and time-consuming process. It is, however, one of the most valuable things you will ever do for your website's Search Engine Optimization.

How to Become a Better MLM Recruiter
by William McRand

The lifeblood of any multi level marketing business is recruiting. Without new distributors your business will not grow. Anyone that has been involved in an mlm business for any period of time knows this and yet it seems to be the hardest thing to do. Why is that? Here are a few recruiting tips that can help you and your group to not only grow, but flourish.

1. First of all when you are talking to a prospect you need to try and see your

business through their eyes and ears. The longer you are involved in your business the harder this is to do. You begin to assume things about your business that a new prospect will not naturally know. They do not know how great your products are. Or they do not know how great your compensation plan is.

The key here is to never assume, but to ask questions and then listen to what your prospect is saying. They will lead you to what is important to them and then you can proceed from there.

2. Spend some time just building a little rapport outside of your business. This simply means talking to them about them. Everyone loves to talk about themselves. You will very quickly find out what their hot button is by finding out what they like to do in their spare time. What they do and don't like about their lives right now. Making a friend goes a long way when it comes time for them to listen about your business.

3. Work at becoming a better communicator. The best skill you can develop when it comes to communicating is to become a better listener. Have you ever been in a conversation and felt like the person you were talking to was not hearing what you said. Many time people are so busy thinking about what they are going to say next that it wouldn't matter what you were saying because they weren't listening anyway. You have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason.

4. You get paid in your mlm business to get a yes or no out of your prospect. The sooner you find this out the better off for both of you. As you are talking to your prospect you basically go through the whole process just to find out if they are interested in joining you or not. Don't be afraid to find this out. If the answer is no that's o.k. because you can quickly move on to your next prospect.

To summarize this article, asking questions, becoming a better listener, and arriving at a final decision is the fastest way to make your network marketing business grow. Doing this over and over and getting your group to do the same will
make all of you better recruiters.
